Information Entered by a Visitor
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results; Monterey Park Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address is used only to understand and answer that message.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and general page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools where enabled.
How the Information Is Used
Technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from these limited data.
External Portals and Collections
Links lead to California and Los Angeles County records offices, Monterey Park collections, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service controls its own privacy practices and terms. The provider behind sponsored results receives what a visitor submits to that tool.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and technical vendors may process ordinary server logs. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure may also occur when valid legal process requires it; there is no other routine disclosure of visitor information.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated above and for as long as those purposes require. Because the reference has no user accounts, it does not hold a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Younger Than 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from a person under 18 is not knowingly collected; contact the operator if a minor has sent information so it can be deleted.
California Privacy Choices
California’s Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, appears in Civil Code section 1798.100 and following. Where the law applies, it can provide rights to know, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain sensitive-information uses. Because this reference retains very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and applicable logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Government records held by California, Los Angeles County, or Monterey Park remain with their custodians, and a removal request for one of those records must go to the office that holds it.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted in this location. Continued use after the revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
